Movie of the week = The September Issue
Watched this movie last night (Sorry sis!) and seeing Anna Wintour run Vogue is really something to see.
The whole movie is about the process behind getting the 2007 September issue together.
Here are some images from one of the spreads that is featured in the September 2007 issue:
And here is the trailer for the movie:

Revamping stairs into art
That was up until now.
Please can I introduce you to these great creations (I have given them my own name, they probably have much cooler sounding names).
The ribbon
This staircase is made out 10mm thick metal sheet and resembles a ribbon unraveling. This was created by HSH architects and is actually fitted in a house in Prague.
The slide
Why take the stairs when you have a slide right next to them? These were created by London architect Alex Michaelis at the request of his children. His kids are geniuses.
Floating stairs
These floating stairs were created by Florence architect Guido Ciompi for The Gray Hotel in Milan. Kudos.
Hovering stairs
These awfully dainty looking stairs are the brainchild of Spanish designer Jordi Vayreda - he assures us that they are able to hold up to 200kgs. I'd just be too scared to slip through the cracks.
Tight squeeze
These stairs have the space barely the size of a closet to fit into, but this didn't scare Swedish TAF Architects Office, who made this space an aesthetically pleasing area.
It definitely does put a spin on the traditional way we see things.
For more great stairs go to the original article on odee.
Song on my mind = Hall & Oates "You make my dreams come true"
This song is featured in (500) days of Summer and has been stuck in my head ever since I saw the movie.
Here is the music video:

Designer muse: Lady Gaga
What are the two sayings that we get told from a young age?! Ahh yes. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and 15 minutes of fame. Two phrases that make me think of celebrities.
And somehow Lady Gaga has been able to transcend both of these, by smashing these age-old words into oblivion.
Either she, or her management have realised that to remain in the public’s favour you need more than just a bit of talent, but rather something that keeps interest focused on you. What better way than to become the latest coat hanger for designers the world over (she has even been rumoured to have inspired Paris Fashion Week)
Names from Alexander Mc Queen, Bernard Chandran, Oscar O Lima, Givenchy and every other shade of designer inbetween have had this blond bombshell parade their creations. She is pushing the fashion boundry, much like Madonna did when she just started. (Who could forget that cone-shaped bra.)
At the end of the day it all comes down to the fact that Lady Gaga owns and dominates her clothes and makes them work for her. I will have to try and experiment if I can Gaga-rise my wardrobe and see what people say. I have this distinct feeling though that unlike this American beauty I will not be able to pull this off. And purely because of that we love Lady Gaga’s Fashion sense.
Song on my mind = Florence + The Machine
The new single from Florence + The Machine is playing on repeat at the moment. I must be honest, the first time I heard it I thought it was the Yeah Yeah Yeah's, but alas I was wrong.

Pop song of the moment
Ever since I heard Ke$ha's "Tik Tok" in one episode of Melrose Place a few months ago. I scowered the internet to find the song that was playing during a party scene and found the "Tik Tok" song. Anyway, now that you know how obsessed I am with tv shows, I want to mention another song from Ke$ha. From her debut album "Animal" there is a song called "Blah blah blah" feat 3OH!3 which has been playing on my iTunes for the last 20 minutes over and over again.
I thought I would share that with all of you :)
You can listen to the song on her Myspace page here or on youtube here

Now that the final season of Lost is almost upon us it might be time to recap on all the events that happened on the island just to refresh our memories.
Luckily someone compiled a wonderful montage which recaps the most important moments from the last 5 seasons.
Gotta love a montage!

Final Season of Lost
After 5 very confusing seasons of Lost the final season starts in February. A lot of friends of mine stopped watching Lost somewhere a long the way but as a true Lost fan I have watched all the seasons.
I am nervous and excited about the last season. Hopefully all the strange questions will be answered. But I have this sneaky suspicion that there will be more questions than answers when this show finishes.
Luckely I will have Fringe to attend to my JJ Abrams addiction.
Happy watching.
